Dear readers.
There have been quite a few new things going on at the wlc. One of them being our new classroom for meetings and class for the 1st years. It's very spacious and very well set up for lectures.
In the animal archives.. The two warthogs we have, Tinkerbell and Peter, were set free to go with Porkey our local in the wlc. They know him since their arrival and we trust he will show them the ropes on the farm.
Also, our new babies are doing just great. We received a 2 day old Waterbuck but unfortunately it was not strong enough and it crashed during the night. We still have gizelle the black impala, Houdini the kudu male, a kudu female and an nyala male that is very small in size.We feed them during night duty at 9pm and we do another check during the night on the sable and the rest of the animals in the wlc.
They are very sweet at this age and we take special care when it comes to hygiene with them, because their immune systems are very weak. We do still stimulate some of them but things are looking good.
The first years have been a very big help when it comes to doing things in and around the wlc. We started with a spring cleaning project in the building so everything had to be removed, cleaned, and placed back inside the cleansed building. We sprayed the building inside with S.O.S which is a sterilizer and this also gets rid of the flies.
This is Gunther spraying the S.O.S in the prep area.
All the items that needed to be removed and cleaned before getting placed back in their rightful places.
Lisette, one of our new 2nd years, sweeping out the clinic after the items have been removed.
Now we can strive in our work in a clean working environment. Thanx everyone for the hard work!
